about us image
Our Lady of Peace Korean Catholic Center is an ethnically Korean centered Roman Catholic community based in the city of Irvine, CA. The church community was founded in 1994 as a Korean sub-community of St. Elizabeth Ann-Seton Catholic Church in south Irvine. During the church's 28-year history, it has served as a center for the Sacraments, formation, and apostolate among the Korean-American population of the greater Orange Diocese.

The community of Our Lady of Peace moved to its current location in 2010 and is currently in the process of campaigning for a new church building and campus. Under the slogan "Peace begins with Victory," Fr. Daniel is leading the community to follow the legacy of the Blessed Mother, the Korean martyrs and confessors, and the Korean Catholic faithful of the United States.

The Church Mission Statement is as follows: "Our purpose is to be a spiritual family for the Roman-Catholic Koreans in the Diocese of Orange that fosters sanctity in ordinary life through sacraments, formation, prayer and apostolate.

The Vision: "To be one family in Christ, rooted in our identity as sons and daughters of God. By living the Christian life together, we are formed in the Catholic faith, to pursue lives of witness and apostolate.

Our church's vision is "to be one family in Christ, rooted in our identity as sons and daughters of God. By living the Christian life together, we are formed in the Catholic faith, to pursue lives of witness and apostolate."

We will pursue this vision with five core-values: committing time, loving with compassion, self-activated leadership, clear and concise communication, and equal sacrifice for reparation.
1

Committing Time

● We all have personal commitments and are very busy, especially as families in Irvine. However, time is a valuable sacrifice to unite and grow as a family.

2

Love one another with compassion

● Mutual care in the spiritual family regardless of our age, gender, or ministerial involvement. ● Come with passion and sacrifice for the one you love.

3

Self-Activated Servant-Leadership

● Rather than living the Korean stereotype of waiting to be told what to do, you see an opportunity to improve a situation.

4

Clear and Concise Communication

● Every person in the spiritual family is clearly and concisely made aware of the church vision. They are capable of reiterating and modeling the vision to others. ● Our family communicates such that everyone can share their concerns for the improvement of the family.

5

Equal Sacrifice for Reparation

● Everyone commits to making substantial sacrifice for the well-being of the family. Such that they know their involvement is necessary and valuable.
